I've been blessed to realise the important gift of being a Christian woman....I have never been more thankful for my heritage and my upbringing and my knowledge of the past and how it has effected me. Mom just got of the phone with grandpa and thanked him for his part in Dday...I went up there this morning(dday memorial)..and payed the huge parking fee but its been worth it because 1. they need money apparently....and 2. It makes me feel great because my grandpa's name isn't on there. We have taped interviews of stories of him and his men and the unit and I'm so thankful that he inlisted because it was than that he sensed God's call to the ministry. I grew up singing a song "I'll say yes Lord Yes, To your will and to your way....I'll say yes Lord yes...I will trust you and Obey!!..when your spirit speaks to me with my WHOLE heart I'll agree..and my answer will be Yes...Lord Yes" And that song was in my head when I was driving home (speeding home). All of the great women's minstry classes were great, bible classes were helpful, but because the people in my life were specifically chosen for those times and places and moments where God directed them, It would be a lot harder for me to want to grow and learn and even put myself aside and say yes to His will. So basically one thing leads to another for me. Memorial day is different things to different people, but I have to be the one to take it deeper.........go figure......nothings easy in this brain of mine!!............I talked to my friend in Iraq today and that was a good surprise..and he told me I should call my friends (wives of DH's) back in SC and help them through this day. I'm thankful for this weekend and the freedomes I have in this country and I'm thankful for the freedome I have in Christ....I take both forgranted sometimes and I hate that. But nyway....My friend's sister sent me this:
God, today please look down and bless those who are laying their lives on the line for me, so that I may continue to live the life I choose. And bless their loved ones, who wait anxiously for any news, and the ones who sleep alone each night just waiting and hoping.
Bless the soldiers and sailors who have given their lives, this year and all the years before. Bless those who have passed, and bless and be close to those whose time has yet to come. Let them feel peace, and to go into your grace without suffering and with the knowledge that they have served something greater.
But, please, God. Protect them, all of them. Watch over them day and night and never let their courage and faith in whatever they choose to believe waiver. Please keep one hand on their shoulders and one hand on the shoulders of their loved ones at home, for each is making the sacrifice.
In Christ's name I pray.

| AHHHHHHH...time flies by so darn quickly!!! OK, so It's been a great couple of weeks since graduation, Im still talking to all the people I miss more than anything so thats good!! They can't hide from me and I will invest in thier lives dang it!! * OH ..hey you Rachel I sent out the money yesterday...you should get it in 3-5 business days* ...and UHm ya YOU..CARL are you still intown or what!!! Nyway...I've got so much going on right now and I am having so much fun with every new little adventure ...and I'm learning to be patient for the road trips!!! Ok so my friend Jer is getting married this weekend to the love of his life :) His proposal out does anyone I have ever seen...for details go to this website..hes a genious and an artist and I am all about it..and will def. use him if I get married in VA..nwyay CHECK IT OUT http://guelzowedding.stoneblueproductions.com/WeddingTemplate1_content.html Nyway so his wedding is this sat. and its formal and his groomsman all went white watter rafting earlier this week and Jer almost drowned!!! Hello.......gees man nyway though so I'm excited for that and than my mommy (who I just talked to) gets back from a conference in Philly!!! and than hopefully I get to go to wintergreen with Cole to see Lauren..and than next Friday I will check into a hotel on Wall St. in NYC...bulls and bears baby ( I actually know the diff.)...nwyay I'm excited and nervious because 1. I'll have my new hair color for the summer...my apt is downtown tomorrow!!!!!!!! and 2. Last trip I went to the wrong SAKS location...actually I went to Manhattan instead of Long Island..........anyway so yea..............#2 reason, involves my future..I have been all about DC....but now I'm going above and beyond..and hopping for some training in NYC..which would be an even bigger dream..( nyway thanks to Sean Hannity...I'm going to bang on NYC's doors and beg to be on thier team) and 3. SHOPPING SHOPPING 4. Trump Towers...(I'll get my starbucks there everymorning if I live there in 2007) 5. Mom and I get to sight see and visit the renivation at the twin towers sight. 6. ITALIAN MEN!
Ok.thats it on the list but after that I get to go to Mass and see family and friends.....and my aunt is planning a RI trip in New Port! So YEA...and than I get back and get to go to Mertyl Beach(sp) with Whitney and her family and Ryan!! ........and than back for the wedding of the year ANDREA and B.WEBB!,..........than my birthday trip to the Harbor and Red Sox game !!!!!!! staying in a hotel..hittin up the ESPN Zone!!! I love it....and I will go to the drive in theater sometime after that Kev!! Nyway I miss my mommy and I get to cook a five course meal for papi and I tomorrow!!!!!!!! I h ope all you guys enjoy your summer and get to hit the beach! | | |
